Check your Boat!

3 Aug 2021 by Will Diamond

The lake level is extremely high and you may need to re-tie your boat, adjust our Whip ties, or make sure your boat lift has it high enough to remain secure.

Three examples I saw today are 1) My boat lift (Pictured) is as high as it goes. If the lake gets much higher I will have to move the boat to a mooring to to the trailer. 2) Alex’s boat is tied to my dock in front of the boat lift. His swim platform is banging on my bow ring because he is floating so high. 2) Pete Tag’s boat whip slipped off his front cleat because there was no longer any tension on the line.

No doubt there are other scenarios out there. Better safe than sorry, please check your dock, boat lift and/or mooring to make sure you are good with the unusually high water level.

If anyone is not around and would like someone to check on your boat, just leave a comment on this News Article and we will do our best to accommodate you.
