As promised, here are the talking points and tips for contacting New Hampshire legislators to express opposition to what has become House Bill 229. I’ve included the link below from the NH State House website. Click on “PDF” to see the actual text of the bill.

Now is the time to start contacting local legislators and letting them know why we oppose HB 229. In the “How to Talk” document are the links to find your legislator and the House Committee email address. We do not have a date for a public hearing yet – we expect it could be in early February. I will schedule a Zoom conference in the coming weeks for anyone that wants to testify to discuss how to testify and what to expect.

The Legislature is just getting started and there are many new members. Thank them for their service and be understanding if they are not aware of this issue. Your call may be the first one they receive.
